UNT Students Advance to Finals of National Trumpet Competition

UNT graduate students Nicholas Althouse, Jason Dovel, Nicholas Harvey and Logan Place all advanced to the final live rounds of competition at the National Trumpet Competition, to be held in Fairfax, Virginia in March 2006.

Regents Professor of Trumpet Keith Johnson will be teaching at the International Trumpet Seminars in England and Italy Summer 2006.


In November 2005, Christopher Moore, Assistant Professor of Trumpet at Florida State University, visited UNT and presented a recital with FSU Piano Professor Valerie Trujillo in the UNT Recital Hall.  The program of that recital is available here.


In August 2005, Regents Professor of Trumpet Keith Johnson performed at the Baroque Trumpet Festival in Sillico, Italy.
