Michael McVay, Assistant Professor of
Theory
Michael McVay earned a B.M. in piano performance from the University of Missouri/Kansas City Conservatory, and Associate Degree from the Royal College of Music (London, UK), and a M.M. in music theory from the University of North Texas. He has been a Lecturer at LaSalle/SIA College of the Arts in Singapore, staff accompanist at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, and Assistant Professor of Music Theory at Austin College. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate (status ABD) in music theory at the University of North Texas and is a member of the theory faculty this year.
