About Harmonia. The Graduate Association of Musicologists und Theorists (GAMuT) publishes an in-house journal each year entitled Harmonia, which contains articles written by musicology and theory graduate students studying at the University of North Texas.

Harmonia 6, edited by Rebecca Ringer, was published in May, 2004.  Click here for the table of contents and article abstracts.  The journal is available at the University of North Texas Music Library.

CALL FOR ARTICLES for HARMONIA 7, edited by Cynthia C. Beard:

1. Submissions are due January 31, 2005.

2. Documents should be typed and double-spaced throughout. Refer to the Chicago Manual of Style for citation convention - use footnotes rather than end notes.

3. Submissions should include: a hard-copy of the article itself, an abstract of the work in less than 100 words, illustrations and musical examples, an IBM formatted floppy disk with at least the text of the article (and abstract) in MS Word version 6.0 or higher for PC. Also include a brief biography of yourself which will be included in the journal.

If you have any questions, email the editor. You may submit your materials to the main music office by January 31st, 2005. A preliminary list of the journal's contents will be posted by March 1st and the entire journal will be available online and by hard copy by April 30, 2005.

Past volumes may be found at the University of North Texas Libraries
