Deanna Bush, Associate Professor of Musicology
Coordinator of Music History, received a Bachelor and a Master of Music Degree in Performance from the Eastman School. She was awarded an NDEA fellowship and an AAUW fellowship to pursue a Ph.D. also at the Eastman School. Her research interests include music of Hadyn and Mozart, eighteenth-century choral music, history of the German Lied, and the symphonies of Mahler. Bush is the recipient of four NEH Humanities Grants. She is currently editing a collection of ballets written for the Mannheim Court to be published in the series, Recent Researches in the Music of the Classical Era. Dr. Bush has served on numerous College of Music and University committees and councils, and is chair of the Ph.D. Committee.
