The College of Music awards merit-based scholarships based on your audition. Many scholarships include an out-of-state tuition waiver, making the College of Music a very affordable option for many students throughout the U.S. as well as internationally.

Apply for financial aid through the University Financial Aid Office. There you will be considered for need-based grants, scholarships and loans. You will need to fill out the FAFSA online. Do this as early as possible for the best opportunity to secure available funds.
While the Financial Aid Office will do their best to meet your financial needs, there are many external scholarships available to you that are not available through our Financial Aid Office. Do not discount the wide array of available funds from corporate, union, charitable foundation, and private sources. There are online resources available like FastWEB and Adventures in Education that have listings of available scholarships and how to apply for them. Talk with your employer, and those of your parents. Many companies have scholarship monies available that go unused each year.
