2007/2008 was a very successful year for the bass studio at UNT. - Joe Kaufman won the Associate Principal Bass position of the Seattle Symphony - Jack Unzicker was appointed to a one year position at Texas Tech University - Dylan Palmer was appointed to the New World Symphony Orchestra - Brandon McLean was appointed to the New World Symphony Orchestra - Tony Parry won the International Society of Bassists Orchestral Excerpt Competition and was awarded a one week performance opportunity with the Dallas Symphony. He also was appointed to the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra. - George Amorim was appointed to the faculty of the University of Texas Pan America - Emma Sullivan was appointed to the National Symphony Orchestra of New Zealand - Erika Cornelisen was appointed Director of Development at the University of Loyola Museum of Art - Tony Rosario, Keith Wymer, Charles Federle, Chris Lettie and Paul Ensey have been appointed to the bass section of the Abilene Philharmonic
