Summer Percussion Study at UNT in 2008!


The UNT Summer Drumset Workshop will not be offered this year.


UNT Marching Percussion Camp - June 17 - 20 , 2008

Clinician - Paul Rennick - UNT Faculty & Percussion Director for the Phantom Regiment Drum & Bugle Corps.

The UNT Marching Percussion Camp trains high school percussionists each summer on the UNT campus in the tradition of the world renowned North Texas Drumline.
Benefits include:
• High School drumlines can attend and work on their show music for the fall.
• Expert guidance from established teachers.
• 10 hours a day of instruction.
• Students must provide their own instruments.
• Guest clinicians including Paul Rennick & other UNT Percussion Faculty.

The teaching faculty is composed of UNT Drumline alumni who are instructors for high school, college, and Drum Corps International programs.

Registration deadline May 16, 2008 - Limited enrollment.

UNT Marimba Workshop - June 23 - 27, 2008

Faculty include renowned marimbist She-e Wu from Rutgers University, UNT faculty members Mark Ford and Christopher Deane and Brian Zator from Texas A&M Commerce.

This workshop offers two tracks of study. (1) High school juniors/ seniors and (2) college age and above.
• Private lessons and master classes with world class instructors.
• Ensembles based on experience and ability.
• Student solo and ensemble performances throughout the week.
• Faculty recital.

Participants are expected to have a minimum of two solo works or etudes in progress to work on and perform.

Registration deadline May 23, 2008 - Limited enrollment.
