The Music Computer Lab is currently hiring for weekday morning shifts. If you meet the listed qualifications, please follow the application instructions at the bottom of this page in order to apply.
Lab Monitor Qualifications
Monitors must have experience with Microsoft products, including Office and Windows XP. Mac Operating system knowledge is also essential (OS X). Excellent verbal and written communications are a must for answering the many questions posed by patrons and faculty. A working knowledge of western music theory and a familiarity with MIDI, digital sound editing and notation software are also required. Duties will include assisting students with Mac and PC software, maintaining workstations and printers and assisting classroom instructors in the lab.
Monitors also check students in and out of the lab, answer phones and run errands. Hours are usually flexible around monitors’ schedules, but potentially range from Monday through Sunday 7:30am to 12:00 am, averaging 15 hours per week. Monthly staff meetings are required.

- Following the exam, qualified applicants will then be contacted for an interview
