Hsiao-Lan Wang is a doctoral student in composition at UNT. She received her B.A. in composition and theory from the National Institute of the Arts (Taiwan) and her M.M. in composition from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

Her projects in CEMI include tape composition, interactive composition with Max/MSP, and improvisational performance with electronics. She has
won several prizes for her electro-acoustic works. Other special interests are acoustic composition and
orchestral conducting.
