By joining the Dean's Camerata, your gift will ensure that the College of Music retains its preeminent status as one of the most progressive and prestigious music schools in the nation. Funds are critically needed in the following areas:

Scholarships
The most talented student musicians are pursued by dozens of top caliber colleges and universities worldwide. Music students must consider expenses in addition to tuition, room and board, including the cost of owning and maintaining a quality musical instrument, building audio and sheet music collections, and acquiring formal wear for performances.

An endowment for the new Lyric Theatre
The theatre positions UNT to attract the most talented voice students. Opera production is a costly enterprise.
Endowed funds for the Lyric Theatre will support both scholarships and production costs.

Faculty, student and program endowments are needed to attract and retain the best musicians and scholars as master teachers. Needs include: An audience outreach endowment to attract new audiences and increase audience education services A performance endowment to showcase student and faculty ensembles Endowed chairs for exceptional teaching in each division. A recruiting endowment to locate and attract exceptional new faculty Additional capital expenditures for the Murchison Performing Arts Center. Funds are needed for the following: a concert organ; a recording suite to preserve state of the art musical activities and accomplishments; theatrical lights, workshop equipment, and a balcony bridge for the Lyric Theatre. Naming Opportunities for the College, and for selected areas of the Murchison Performing Arts Center are available.
