Terri Sundberg is currently Associate Professor of Flute and a member of the North Texas Chamber Winds at the University of North Texas. She has held the position of Principal Flute with the Orchestra Sinfonica de Mineria in Mexico City, the Haydenfestspie Orchestra in Austria and the New Hampshire Music Festival, and also played with the Fort Worth Symphony, the Dallas Opera, and the Oklahoma City Philharmonic. Ms. Sundberg has also performed extensively in New York City as soloist, chamber and orchestral musician, including performances at Lincoln Center/Alice Tully Hall, Merkin Concert Hall and Carnegie Weill Recital Hall. She has also been an Artist-in-Residence with the North Coast Chamber Players, a mixed wind/string chamber group that toured extensively on the West Coast. She has been on the faculty of several international music festivals, and has presented masterclasses and performed solo and chamber recitals across the United States and abroad, including concerts in South Africa, Mexico, Austria, Ireland, and England. She has been a featured artist at flute festivals across the United States and invited to teach a masterclass as part of the "American Teachers of Performance" National Flute Association Masterclass Series. Her students have won professional positions, summer festival positions, fellowships, and prizes in competitions throughout the United States, including the NFA Artist Competitions, Mid-South Flute Competition, Upper Midwest Flute Competition, T.M.T.A. Instrumental Competitions, Entergy Music Competition, UNT Concerto Competition, Chautauqua Sigma Alpha Iota Concerto Competition, M.N.T.A. Instrumental Competition and the Rotary Fellowship Competition. Professor Sundberg's degrees are from Yale University and Lawrence Conservatory, and her principal teachers have included Jeanne Baxtresser, Thomas Nyfenger, and Ernestine Whitman. Ms. Sundberg has collaborated on a chamber music CD recording for the Klavier label.
