Patricia Adams Nordstrom, an original member of the well-regarded “Musicians of Swanne Alley,” has performed in tours across Europe and North America and has appeared on American, Canadian, German, French, English and Danish radio and television. With Swanne Alley, she has recorded for Harmonia Mundi, Focus and Virgin Classics. Trained on historical wind and bowed-string instruments at Stanford University, Pat has been on staff at Oakland University, Clayton College and State University and the University of North Texas, where she teaches viola da gamba. Beyond Swanne Alley, she has performed regularly with a variety of groups, notably the Merry Band, Muses Gardin, Dallas Bach Society and Fort Worth Early Music. She also has taught at early music workshops, and was also instrumental in launching the Atlanta Early Music Alliance, having served as Board chair and newsletter designer and editor. Pat has combined her performance activities with providing promotional services for performers and working with individuals and groups on stage fright issues. She is co-director of the 2005 MoUNTain Music Institute, and for the past year and a half has also been Senior Assistant to the Dean of the College. [an error occurred while processing this directive]
